My dinner is prettier than your dinner
Nummy!

Spinach leaves and fresh mozzarella with halved grape tomatoes, basil garnish and blackcurrant vinegar dressing.

Best of all, much of the vegetable matter was grown by my day care charges in the occupational rehabilitation garden. They had a little Farmer's Market to sell their produce and raise funds for next year's garden. The vinegar is, of course, from Vom Fass.

Last night I really let my inner foodie out and made turkey burgers with a homemade pineapple chutney, served with the above salad and three other side dishes in honor of dread_ex's birthday.

Re: pritty maters
Oooh! Vom Fass is a store, not a person. They specialize in liquors, wines, oils, and vinegars. Very, very fun for foodies. We have the first one outside of Europe in Madison.

I want to try fresh mozzarella, but I don't know who would sell it around here. We don't seem to have specialty cheese shops, or if we do, I don't know about them. Any suggestions?

Visit us!!! We have lots of specialty cheese shops...or place an order...will you be at Coronation?

My current favorite cheese shop is Fromagination...check out their website...most of their products are listed somewhere: http://fromagination.com/

Most tasty and affordable: SarVecchio

I second the "visit us" but I could bring you some at Coronation, if that cannot happen.
