Mmmmm... The smell of drugs in the morning!
I don't know what possessed me to think that a morning conference was a good idea... Especially at 7:15AM... Especially an hour and a half drive away. :p Ew.

However, the conference promises to be really useful for my practice - antipsychotics in the elderly, refractory depression, anxiety disorders, antiepileptics, and complicated migraine management. Crazy, crazy, crazy, pain/epilepsy, and headaches?they could not have designed a better program for me!

Ok... Next speaker starting...

Well those topics sound great for your coworkers, but what about your patients? :P

I am interested in Migraine management! Although I do have to say that peri-menopause seems to be having a positive effect on the migraines - it's a rough thing to prescribe, though.

The take home message was that if you can take triptans, take them at the very first sign of a migraine, even if you are not certain it is a migraine - the sooner you take it the better it works. Major point 2 - if you are having more than two a week or if they are significantly impacting your life, get prophylactic therapy.

Maybe that's what my life is missing - the sweet smell of drugs...
and ciggies, and donuts and...
I'm amazed I even bother to get out of bed in the morning anymore!
