Thing-a-Day 4
Today's Thing is Not Framing! I promise!

This is a black crib sheet and flat sheet for mightyjesse 's impending baby. They are of a heavy but soft linen, of course! The crib sheet has a concealed zipper at the bottom, making hard for it to slip off at an inopportune moment, easy to pop in and out of the crib as it is being set up/taken down, and able to serve as a sturdy yuck-bag as needed when packing up at the end of an event. The flat sheet is edged with a raguly-like stitch in gold as a nod to daddy's arms and is oversized so it can be flopped on the floor for playtime or over the crib to make a little tent for nap time at events. :)

I didn't make the crib, but Mr S and I put it together, which was a little mini-adventure.

Is that a porta-crib in wood? Totally awesome, if so.

Yup, a nice light wood. :)

Where did it/it's design come from? All the cribs I've been looking at are uber fancy/expensive/totally not baby/would go great in an actual victorian house, decorated in complete period furnature etc...(in other words NOT my house).

It's a Delta crib, model 44562. I got it for $60 at Burlington coat factory at some crazy 50% off sale, usually $120.

You may be able to find it cheaper, but here's a link.
