Writer's Block: Mega Bite
If you could own a restaurant, what type of food would you serve, and what would you call it?

I'm not sure what I would call it, but it would be an amazing salad bar - it's the one kind of restaurant Madison is sorely lacking.

I happened on this place a couple of weeks ago:

Salad Creations

Of course it's about as far away from where you live as it could get and still be in Madison, but it was pretty good food. It's still new so be prepared for staff to be a little unclear on how things work.

That's better than nothing, I suppose, but if I want a pre-made salad, I can order those from Glass Nickle and they will deliver directly to me. :p

I still think Madison needs a kick ass salad bar.

They do make it right in front of you, if that makes any difference. You don't get to make it yourself, no, but you can watch it being made and interact, kind of like at Subway. And the lettuce is kept in these coolers on the wall--very fresh.

I tried this salad creations too, because I got a free coupon, but by the time I put meat on it and everything it was like a 10 dollar fast food salad, I can make my own salad at Copps for less than that and I can put however much stuff I want on it, Salad Creations didn't put nearly enough bleu cheese or bacon bits for my liking...
