Well, WW is set to begin in about seven hours... The site looks great and everything seems ready to go.

Thus far, the biggest challenges have been weather related - it has been damp and COLD. :/ I didn't get my Authentic Encampment signs done because it was taking so long for the paint to dry between coats. Oh well, I hope to finish them tomorrow... I really am pleased out of my stoopid mind with the Authentic Encampment - I have a nice perimeter of little blue flags around the few canvas tents that are already here - I can't wait til all the residents arrive...

Speaking of encampments, I'm pretty happy with my personal one as well. This is the first year I'm not camping with someone and/or not filling my tent with Baronial crap. I made the command decision to leave the event-related crap (a half-carload, mind you, plus the High Seat in goldfrog's van) in the car until it is needed. Therefore, I only have a small amount of stuff in the tent, everything visible is period or period-ish, and everything is well-organized. It's very cozy. It will be even better when my "living room set" arrives tomorrow...

Now, if it were just not so cold... Even on my featherbed, nestled in my flock of sheep, it's a little chilly. A (liquid) nightcap will help but I really need to work on a noggin-covering nightcap and other tent-warming luxuries...

But for now, sleep. My day starts early, with the first two Troll shifts.
