Sewing Geekage
Attention all sewing geeks - two geektastic options in the near future!

The Midrealm finally has the Golden Seamstress competition on their website. It will be held in Detroit on February 20-21. Who can make it and wants to play? It's sort of short notice at this point, but there's still a month and more for planning!

As a warm-up of sorts (or as a consolation to those who cannot make GS), I will be hosting some sewing dorkishness at Nordskogen's Twelfth Night this weekend. I am envisioning something like an abbreviated Tailor's Shop at Lilies or Griffin Needle Challenge. My goal is to complete a full outfit in one day, ideally all handsewn and certainly all handfinished. I believe we will have a space where we will be able to observe the fighting and such. Please email me if you are interested or stop by on the day of the event - short term assistance and good company welcome!

Come play with string!

Tempting, very tempting...

Unfortunately that Friday start time is a kicker when you also consider flight times and everything else...

Looking forward to seeing you there - any idea what you'll be making?

I've been able to make a few arrangements to get me, Dennis, Masha and Aleinore to 12th night, but it all hangs on me being able to get friday night off of work... I think I've got it arranged, but I just need to talk to my manager. I'll know for sure by social tonight...
