Please explain to me...
OK, there are boys on my friends list... Guys, please explain to me what, exactly is sexy about a  chick with a tramp stamp and her underwear hanging out the back of her pants? (I mean, other than that it's usually a sticker indicating "easy.")

I'm on campus for class and I think my mind is crazed...

(Edit: And am I a bad person for wanting to snap their thongs? ;p)

Hmm...I have a tramp stamp but I got pants that fit...finally.
eithni: WTFeithni on September 22nd, 2009 10:44 pm (UTC)
I think the underwear might be the worse part- I shouldn't know who is wearing blue satin panties and who's wearing pink lacey ones. :p moreover I don't WANT to know.

I will admit to thinking a thong is sexy. And easy might be part of it, but open is even more. And confident in their sexuality. But then again I am a big fan of porn, so YMMV
eithni: WTFeithni on September 22nd, 2009 11:09 pm (UTC)
See, I'm plenty confident, but my momma taught me that underwear belongs UNDER clothing, at least out in general public - there are different rules for clubs and such, of course - but if panty lines are bad, how is looking at the whole top three inches cute? I guess that goes for boys too - you know the ones, with the boxers hanging out the top of too-large trouser. I'm torn between revulsion, wanting to give them a belt, and wanting to give thecpants a quick, sharp tug. :p

You are not a bad person. I think the same thing too!
(I have been known to yell at white boyz with braids.)

And what the hells up with flip flops?
Gwynethgwyneth1362 on September 23rd, 2009 02:08 am (UTC)
OMG!!! Flip Flops are not work wear. They are not supposed to be worn with business clothes during the day at a professional office.

I may be male, but I cannot explain the attraction of butt floss showing above the jeans. Or visible tramp stamps for that matter.
Aaron (Rusty) Lloydrustmon on September 23rd, 2009 12:04 am (UTC)

and no.

Snap the butt floss. Or else, use a scissors to cut the elastic.
robstoutrobstout on September 23rd, 2009 01:59 am (UTC)
Personally, tramp stamps don't do much for me. As for the thong, I don't know. Maybe because thongs are considered a bit naughty. It's like being edgy without really doing anything out of the norm.

I like tattoos, no matter where they are as long as they are interesting. A "tramp stamp" implies uninteresting.

having said that, I dislike the thong out of the pants look. Intensely.

And no.
eithni: do I need to kill you?eithni on September 23rd, 2009 06:10 pm (UTC)
Nope - all three chicks had a "I bought it in the temporary tattoo vending machine" pseudo-tribal tattoos. Ok. So one was pink, so she's an individual. :p

I actually really dig well-done tattoos... Just not the oooh! Look at my ass! Aren't I *CUTE*?!?!? Sort.

Now, the dude with a labyrinth of vines and creatures up both arms - kickin'.

Easy is easy-- there's lots of misguided ladies that think that getting past the home plate means emotional connection, but when its too easy it's far less likely that a guy will commit. But that doesn't mean that guys won't follow easy girls around hoping for a helping of easy-pie. Short-term attention at the cost of any long-term prospects basically, unless the guy is desperation itself.

That being said, sometimes a slice of easy-pie is kinda nice. I personally justify it to myself by thinking that at least I'll be nicer to them than most, and may repay their generosity by pointing them in the direction of a more malleable prospect.

I don't get the thong thing... in the same way that I never liked tube-tops during their brief and hideous comeback a few years ago... but the tramp stamp... I can see the appeal of that - I'm guessing that, for people who are more in the 'ass-man' category, a tramp stamp serves as a nice bit of appealing decoration.

I've always found those dimples that some women have in the lower back region attractive... Its probably something similar.
eithni: do I need to kill you?eithni on September 23rd, 2009 06:16 pm (UTC)
That, I get. And clavicles. :)

...but not the tattoo and thong thing... It just looks like you're trying to hard to just be a piece of ass. :p
EllieSamelliesam on September 23rd, 2009 01:04 pm (UTC)
Just sayin'
Some of us got our tattoos, and navel piercings, WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY before it was "the thing" for every little tween to do. When did they become "tramp stamps"?

But I gave up thongs almost 20 years ago. :)

Re: Just sayin'
They've been tramp stamps at least five years, ever since they became ubiquitous among the sorostitute set on college campuses. The stamp/thong combo also seems to be closely linked to the mating call of the American ditz - "I am sooooooo drunk!" :p Campus is a special place.

:p see, I get the innocence thing with the "naughty schoolgirl" thing, this just reads as sloppy at best, trampy at worst.
Elizabethliz_bet on September 23rd, 2009 08:21 pm (UTC)
Intentional thong showing I don't get. I just kind of view it as any other sort of appearance statement that might be viewed as 'shocking'... if it's their thing.. it's their thing.
Unintentional thong showing I think happens a lot more than people realize. (including by those wearing the thongs) Those 'waist bands' have nothing to hold them down around your hips and they can naturally rise towards your waist all on their own. This + recent pants fashion of having the 'waist line' only a few inches above the crotch of the pants results in blatant underwear fashion shows. I am personally grateful that it is much easier to find pants/jeans with more realistic waist bands and paired with some nice extra long shirts, can now usually safely avoid being an uhm... 'fashion model'

This isn't inherent knowledge and while I would love to tell some of our undergrads in the lab the 'secrets' to keep their undies hidden, there is no practical way to do it. :P I think pants should have the little snap holders on the insides along the hips to hold your undies in, just like nice sleeveless shirts and dresses do at the shoulders to keep your bra straps in line. :)

As for tramp stamps, before they became known as that, I recall considering one there, b/c it was one of the few places on the body that wouldn't stretch/sag/wrinkle as I aged, and was easy to hide from the sun or for work. Given that, I think the location became super popular. The 'greek' college crowd have made plenty of seemingly ok things annoying and ridiculous. North Face makes some really awesome quality winter gear that has been more than wonderful during winter camping and just helping me keep warm in general. It will last for decades if taken care of properly. However, anytime I walk down on campus in winter I'd rather just burn the NorthFace store to keep warm instead :P
eithni: greeneithni on September 24th, 2009 06:01 pm (UTC)
Hee. I have a Northface jacket... but I went through and covered each and every logo with patches or embroideries so I wouldn't have to look at the logos. :P

Any one else seen jeans with the fake thong top sewn into them? So... you don't want to show off your thong, just look like it???

I don't like it when the boys hang their boxers out, either.

But then again, they're not hanging their boxers out to catch a girl like me. They're hanging their boxers out to attract a girl who hangs her thong out.

People who want to attract people like me tuck their man panties where they belong.

*Head nod*
