Yes. yes he does :) And given his background I'm sure he could easily follow construction instructions....

Wow, that's so cool. You made that? That sounds like a good topic for a class day at an event :-)

Well, assembled. Premade wood box, glasses, plates, flasks, cheese cutter, bottle opener. I cut the foam insert to hold the glasses and bottle opener, finished the box (linseed oil), lined the bottom with felt, sewed the pad, and put in the elastic flask holders.

So am I not seeing where you would put the cheese itself... or does that get carried separately, because it should be in a cooler?

Very nice, although, of course, I have absolutely no need for a thing to carry scotch (or whiskey) - blech, ptooey - allthemoreforyou! ...

An insulated bag will be a separate Thing. Alternatively, a thin block of cheese could be substituted for one of the flasks or placed so that when closed the cheese would fill the gap above the flasks.

The hard part is getting the cheese into the flasks. Also: which scotches do you plan on filling this bad boy with?

The Scotch selection will likely vary. My favorite right now is Ledaig. My standard "passing Scotch" is Glenmorangie. The third will probably depend on what I have in my stash, who I plan to see at the event, and may even be a non-scotch option, like Kahlua.
