And some days I even get to win
Today was a pretty good day, full of simple pleasures.

Work did not suck. Trust me, meeting that bar is awesome.

The weather this afternoon was amazing - warm and sunny and just beautiful. My officemate, my boss and I went for a walk and, from the number of folks out on the sidewalk, everyone else in the building had the same idea. Hurray for Vitamin D and exercise!

My workout at the gym was good - I upped all my weights today, so it was difficult, but satisfying... and then there was the hottub. :D

Steak. As a workout reward and to appease my body's demand for red meat, I had a lovely cheesey steak, potato, and veggies combo - they claim on the menu that it is a healthy option. I don't really care, it was nummy.

I had shopping success both in the store and in my own wardrobe. Major win - I think I have found a new line of appropriately engineered undergarments.* I also pulled out a bunch of clothes from storage that I'd been planning on getting rid of since they were too small. No longer! Yay for new "free" clothes!

I also had purging success in my wardrobe - several sweaters, shirts and other items I simply don't wear are now bagged up for disposal. The herd should be further culled, but we'll go in stages.

I got the WW master schedule started with the little info I already have and I requested more info from various critical parties. (How the hell is WW only two months away!?!?!)

I placed/answered several craigslist ads which will address several household maintenance needs and hopefully get some more crap out of my house.

Played with the three remaining birdies and prepped for my conference call tomorrow morning (at 7AM. Ugh.).

Now for a little nightcap of Scotchy goodness, a little frivolous reading, and it's to bed with me!

* It's nearly impossible to find something with less than four inches of padding, nice colors/patterns, and a reasonable price. (Gentlemen, be thankful you simply don't appreciate how difficult a quest this is! :P) I was pleased to find a nice blue swirly embroidered one last week and - happiness! - they also have similar ones in different colors! Sometimes, it's the little victories...

Yeah - what's with the padding? And how come the only ones that don't have enough padding to push me entirely out of one comes only in beige, white, and black!?!?

Amen. Sing it, sister. :p

This. And why are they padding a D cup anyways? Don't even get me started on nursing bras.

Have you seen the Victoria Secret bras that promise you an extra 2 cup sizes? They are like someone made a bra out of the swimmies/water wings you strap to a toddler before letting him play in the pool.

YES! And there are knock-offs too... Talk about false advertising. :p

As someone who would prefer well-engineered undergarments that incorporate steel strapping, buttresses and rebar should they ever become commercially available, I really do need the crazy padding for support, though the quantities the manufacturers are using in smaller sizes are approaching the silly. VS's Biofit has very reasonable quantities.

I have yet to find widely-available sports bras in my crazy-weird size, though, which irks me. This is my own grail!

I'm not against ANY padding - I just don't want two extra cup sizes, thankyouverymuch. Or at least that there are OPTIONS for us girls who need the engineering+++ but don't want the massive padding or the granny undies. :P

But, yeah, rebar... That would be teh sexah. :D
