Wrung out.

What a week. Work has been insane lately and this week was full of hard work, smack downs, changes, criticism, and ugly surprises.

Personally and professionally, I have so much to do, I'm often at a loss as to where to start. I have lists and lists and lists and keep crossing things off, but things keep getting added faster than I can cross them off. *sigh* I know allowing myself to be paralyzed by being overwhelmed is counterproductive, but that's the trap I've been falling into,

I'm so far behind on everything. I absolutely should not go to Gulf Wars, but if I don't I think I'm going to spend a week in bed weeping instead.

<insert something clever and insightful here>

I'm pretty much in the burn-everything-quit-my-job-and-run-away place again. :P I had dinner tonight with whymc and that was pleasant, but I'm afraid I wasn't terribly good company. Plan for tonight: Daily Show, worthless magazines, some fiction, some Scotch, and an early bedtime. That's won't help the to-do list, but maybe it will help morale.

You were perfectly lovely company. Exhausted company, but that just made me feel less self-conscious about my own rather sad state. Pretty considerate of you, really.

word...you and I are too much a like some days.

Hugs and yes....a "night off" does wonders for yourself. It really does.

Go to Gulf, have a really, really good time and relax, relax and then come back with renewed energy to get stuff done.

I know that feeling, it's awful. Take the break and try again tomorrow. You can do it!

I totally hear you, I'm in my "I need/want to have a nervous breakdown" stage or I'll really fall apart, but it's not a good time right now and it doesn't look like any time soon is going to be a good time either...
